April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born July 4th April, 1995. In the seventh grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion to write songs. When she was 12 years old, April wrote her first song Different. She spent a lot of time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with the piano. In the following months, April started taking trips across NY and LA with her Dad to help them write songs. April included other subjects in her track, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal thinking. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. Her disability is a part of her persona, however it's not all of the image. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on it. What message is it sending? The message? We have many different aspects, that our physical and identity self aren't as appear. I don't want that to define me I don't intend to become an influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are so many other elements to me Lockhart states in video form from her residence in Nashville. However, it doesn't affect my everyday living. I do the things I normally would and I've adapted to the limitations of my disability. Since it's a my identity and something worth talking about. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. Lockhart admits to having been through times when she was uncomfortable wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. She now wears whatever she likes. And she posts her pictures to social networks. To her, self-love was always a lengthy journey. However, I believe that's the case common to everyone regardless of what they are struggling with. It's important to have people in your life who know and understand the way you feel. They'll be the ones who ask what you think about?
