Katherine Heigl admits that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how that influenced the way she raised her adopted multiracial children. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed that her appearance didn't concern her. However, when having a conversation with her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society had treated them, she was conscious of the differences they were. Meg was asked if her treatment was different in the times they went out with their parents and then the time they were on their own. She replied "Oh Yes, all the time!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She said that she was frustrated and thought it was important to focus her anger towards helping her adopted daughters. Heigl and her 13-year-old husband -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl adopted in the year 2012.
